Recently, the Kovler Family Library has been building its collection of games and puzzles. Students across all grades have been stopping by to build or play and we thought we'd try to keep that fun rolling even while we're all stuck at home. Below is a list of some online options to keep puzzling and gaming. If you have any questions, suggestions, or comments, please reach out to Mr. Rampson ([email protected]).
ChessOne of the most popular items in our game collection is the chessboard. At home, you can play against the computer for FREE online at Chess.com. The computer level can be adjusted and there is a coaching mode, if you want to learn AND play.
(If you or your student have an iPad, you can also download the Square Off Chess app that our AI chessboards use and play that way, too!) |
Jigsaw ExplorerOur jigsaw puzzles are also very popular with students, so we'd like to point you toward Jigsaw Explorer, where you can do digital jigsaw puzzles and even create puzzles from your own photos, all for FREE!

Board Game ArenaThis site offers many online board game options, many of which are free to play. The site offers a "Premium Account" which unlocks even more game choices, allows for in-game voice chat, and lets a single Premium member invite any other players to play with them in any game on the site.
